Multi-agent based real-time intelligent system for power systems fault diagnosis

A real-time fault diagnosing system on power systems can assist dispatchers to recognize faulty elements,shorten the time of dealing with a blackout accident and avoid its enlarging.A new multi-agent based approach and systematic structure of real-time fault diagnosis on a power system are proposed in the paper,multithreading techniques are used in the design of the corresponding Agents of the proposed system.The mixed programming of PROLOG and JAVA is adopted to implement the system.Experiments on the developed prototype proposed system show that the new approach for fault diagnosis is feasible.It can improve the reactiveness of the system to blackout incidents in a power system,and give up the present diagnosing objective when its environment changes largely.
