Investigation and Analysis on Job Satisfaction of Staff Nurses

Objective To investigate the level of job satisfaction among staff nurses in Sakaeo Provincial Hospital,Thailand.Methods The study population was all staff nurses who were working in this hospital.The research instrument was a self-administrated questionnaire.Data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics such as frequency,percents, means, and standard deviations.Moreover,analytical statistics Chi-square tests were employed.Results The research results showed that the staff nurses’ job satisfaction reached moderate level.There was a significant association between staff nurses’ job satisfaction and duration of working as a nurse as well as duration of working in this hospital(P0.05), and also had a distinguished relation with head nurses’ leadership(P0.01).Conclusion Managers should implement a clear policy to stimulate job satisfaction through taking different measures and instrument.
