Investigation and Management on General Self-Efficacy in Young Nurses

Objective To investigate young nurses' general self-efficacy(SE) and explore the management and training measures.Methods A total of 93 young nurses working for within 3 years were surveyed by a questionnaire.Results The SE score of the nurses was(2.41±0.43),lower than scale norm(2.86) and nursing group(2.69±0.58).The SE-related factors were irrelevant to age and nursing length,but negatively correlated to educational background.The nurses with associate degree usually had higher scores than those of undergraduate nurses(P0.01).Conclusion The nursing managers should attach importance to improving general SE of nurses of associate degree with all possible countermeasures.
