A Generalization of Road Networks Based on Topological Similarity

Aiming at the basic requirement that distributing characteristics of road networks' holes should be maintained,a new generalization model of road networks based on topological similarity was proposed on discussing topological formalizing description.This model selected road generalization outputs through establishing evaluating figures of road networks' topological similarity,furthermore,an assessing method depending on road's shape was put forward,for different roads deleting schemes of the same topological similarity.The results indicated that principle of the model was correct,and it had a good effect for either spatial distribution or shape character of road networks holes.
