Empirical Research on Mobile Learning Of Colleague Students

Mobile learning refers to learning that happens across locations,or that takes advantage of learning opportunities offered by portable technologies.Researchers of education technology have been paying more and more attention to mobile learning.However,there is little empirical research on mobile learning in our country currently.In this study,exercise research,survey research and interview method have been used to explore student attitude of mobile learning before and after experience,implementation methods and application contexts they prefer,types of learning content needed and the restrictions on the implementation of mobile learning.Major conclusions are as following:college students recognize mobile learning and have strong demands for it;"online updating and study offline"is the main approach to mobile learning,which is increasingly extended to wireless networking;mobile learning takes place whenever and wherever people need it;Inquiring,learning,and practice are the core functions of a mobile learning system;mobile content should be short but valuable and delivered through a variety of media;devices and study resources restrict application of mobile learning.This paper may help the design and development of mobile learning systems or mobile learning resources.It may also be useful to guide the promotion of mobile learning.
