Solution method for equilibrium position of moored floating-body in current

In order to solve the motion responses of a moored floating-body in waves or under the collision of uncontrollable ships,more accurate initial position of the mooring chain and the floating-body should be obtained firstly by solving the equilibrium position of the moored floating-body system in different ocean environment.Assuming the mooring chain as a flexible catenary,the solving equations of the mooring forces were established.The equivalents of forces(moments) acting on the floating-body in each direction were considered as the convergent condition,and the equilibrium position of the moored floating-body system in ocean current was obtained by iterative solving method.The results show that the moored floating system has different equilibrium positions under the action of different directions and velocity of the currents.The error of anchor throwing can also induce different equilibrium position of the system.
