Progress on Discipline Research of Wake Bubble by Optical Photography

The bubbles in ship wake play an important role in the research of wake characteristics. The shape, size and density of wake bubble are the basic detection parameters for the wake. Research on wake bubbles by optical photography is simple and intuitionistic. The article summarizes the different methods of optical photography since 1979, and some suggestions about the future research are given.
