Upper and Lower Solutions for the Critical Height of Soil-Nailed Slope

Based on the method of limitation analysis, the upper and lower limits of the height critical of soil-nailed slopes are obtained through friction-bar theory and Soil arching mechanism respectively. The extent of limitation, the range of apparent cohesion and the parameters' relations are also discussed in this paper.
