Application of Performance-Based Seismic Design Theory in Tall Building Structural Design

ZHAO Tong(Tianjin New Finance Investment Co.,Ltd.,Tianjin 300450,China)  
Four tall buildings are designed in Yujiapu finance district,Tianjin,whose structural systems are braced frame-core wall structure,reinforced concrete tube-in-tube structure,frame-core wall with strengthened story structure,steel frame-core wall structure respectively.For these over-limit structures,performance-based seismic design theory was applied during the structural design.Different performance criteria were adopted in different structures,the structural anticipated seismic performance under moderate earthquake and rarely earthquake could be guaranteed via structural calculation and conformation measures.The structural safety and rationality were improved after performance-based seismic design theory is applied.
