Developing Status and Future of Airborne Laser Weapon

The airborne laser is U.S.most ambitious directed energy weapon program to date.This article firstly describes and analyses the ABL cost overruns,schedule delays and it's sources as well the program's significant realignment again.Subsequently,we reviewed that the program achieved two key milestones by 2004'end and 2005'objectives.Finally,the problems and future technology developments of the ABL program were discussed.
