New ffigh-efficiency Nd:Gd_(0.42)Y_(0.58)VO_4 Infrared Laser Pumped by Diode Laser

New High-efficiency Nd:Gd0.42Y0.58VO4 infrared laser is reported. A very simple,compact plane-concave cavity is used. Laser output of 4.64W is obtained at incident pump power of 9.1W,and optical-optical conversion efficiency is 51%. Intracavity-frequency-doubled with KTP,380mW of green laser is obtained at incident pump power of 8.6W.
