Development of Energy-saving and Quality-enhancing Technology and CO Gas-collecting in SiC Industrial Synthesis

SiC synthesis is a high-energy-costing industry. In this paper the theory of energy-saving, consumption-reducing and quality-enhancing in SiC industrial synthesis by multi-heat-source furnace and technology of collecting CO gas are reported in detail. Compared with single-heat-source furnace, the SiC output of multi-heat-source furnace increased by 48. 1% ,high grade SiC yield increased by 30% , and consumed energy reduced by 10%. Frequent spouting of furnace is avoided. The furnace volume enlargement is become easier. The CO content of the multi-heat-source furnace is up to 92%. CO can be collected by the new gas collecting equipment which is endurable to temperature and corrosion. The collected CO can be purified to produce methanol and furtherly to produce clear fuel dimethyl ether. This research achievement is beneficial for SiC industries to control environmental pollution and enhance economic benefit.
