Application of self-propagating high-temperature synthesis technique in diamond products manufacture

This article presents the progress and characteristics of self-propagating high temperature synthesis(SHS) technique.It states the necessity and significance of the SHS application in diamond tools manufacture,and discusses the feasibility and current research situation of this technique in China and abroad.Finally it points out the issues that need to be further researched of the SHS applications in diamond tools manufacture.
