Adaptation to Chilling Temperature and High Light of Super-hybrid Rice(Oryza sativa L.) Liangyoupeijiu and Its Parents

With the materials of super-hybrid rice Liangyoupeijiu and female parent Peiai 64 S and male parent medial duration Indica rice 9311,the adaptation to chilling temperature and high light between Liangyoupeijiu and its parents were studied through chlorophyll fluorescence parameters and key indexes of actives oxygen.Results showed that after treatment of chilling temperature and high light,in comparison with its parents,the decrease of contents of chlorophyll,PSⅡprimary photochemical efficiency(Fv/Fm)and photochemical quenching coefficient(qP) and actual PSⅡ capture efficiency in super-hybrid rice Liangyoupeijiu were less,which suggested that more light energy absorbed by Liangyoupeijiu was converted into chemical energy under chilling temperature and high light.Meantime,the inductive activies of scavenging active oxygen enzymes such as superoxide dismutase(SOD) and peroxidase(POD) and catalase(CAT) were higher,showing tolerance to chilling temperature and high light.Thus active oxygen(O-·2,MDA and H2O2) could be scavenged efficiently.As a result,the membrane-lipid peroxidation was lighter.Results demonstrated that adaptation to chilling temperature and high light in super-hybrid rice "Liangyoupeijiu" surpassed its parents and adopted from its female parent.
