Cheng Dan (Department of Chinese Anhui University, Hefei Anhui 230039)

On one hand, this kind of form has offered the support for the traditional drama's improvement; on the other hand, it even has its own weakness which can't be overcome. Because of its own advantage, the Family Theatrical Troupe was in fashion for a time during the middle period of Ming Dynasty; and meanwhile, because of the congenital defect, it nearly makes no public appearances in this period.
