Theoretical analysis of linearly chirped moire long period fiber gratings

XU Xin-Hua,WANG Qing(School of Electronic Engineering and Optoelectronic Technology,Nanjing University of Science and Technology,Nanjing 210094,China)  
The coupling coefficient and the coupled-mode equations of linearly chirped moire long period fiber gratings are presented.The spectral and group delay characteristics of this kind fiber grating are modeled by using a fourth-order adaptive-step-size Runge-Kutta algorithm to numerically solve the coupled-mode equations.The analysis results show that linearly chirped moire long period fiber gratings have a favorable prospect in wavelength-division multiplexing all-optical networks due to their phase shift and apodization properties.
