Kong Dingfang
In the reconstruction process of social order at the beginning stage of Qing Dynasty, the descendants of the Ming Dynasty are political dissident force of consequence. Antagonistic and not ready to cooperate, they are sentimentally attached to their lost dynasty and cherish the desire of recovering their dynasty. Since Qing Shengzu taking office, he has adjusted his policies according to the violent national contradiction in the period of Shun Zhi and Four Chancellors' helping governing and the intense relation between remaining people and the new dynasty. Among the policies, he adopted and practiced a series of far-reaching tactics of remaining people, including creating relatively loose political environment, holding “erudite examination”and reopen the Ming Shih House. With these policies, the Ming remaining people have changed deeply on the whole, gradually from being antagonistic to identifying, from revolving to following the Qing dynasty.
