Searching Algorithm for Full Time Apparent Resistivity from TEM Electromotive Force Data

In order to compute rapidly and accurately all-time apparent resistivity of Transient Electromagnetic Method, the characteristics of electromotive force of central loop were studied. It was a fact that the electromotive force decreased monotropically with the increasing resistivity. Based on the characteristics, a new technique such as Half Reduce Search Algorithm to compute all-time resistivity rapidly and accurately was developed. This technique searches a resistivity value whose electromotive force fits the actual value by reduction of half the possible resistivity ranged to reduce computation time. Computed results of theoretic data show that this technique is rapid and accurate, which takes only 1 minute and with less than 0.1% relative error.
