Technological study on indirect electrochemical synthesis of 1,4-naphthoquinone

1,4Naphthoquinone is synthesized by liquid phase controlled oxidation of naphthalene with Ce(SO 4) 2 as oxidizing agent and indifferent organic solvents as solvent. The recovered Ce 3+ oxidizing agent is electrolyzed and recycled. The effects of mole ratio, solvent kinds, temperature, time and recovered Ce 4+ ion on reaction process is studied.
