Research on the Influences of Reactive Power Fluctuation of Wind Farm on the System Voltage Stability

The integration of wind farm would cause a lot of influences to the grid due to its volatility and intermittent character,a regional wind farm is taken as the research subject in studying influences of wind farm integration on the grid voltage stability.The PSCAD platform is used to analyzes the voltage improvement effects of the manual(mechanical)switched capacitor,SVC,STATCOM and reactive power compensation device.By comparing the bus voltage curves under different conditions of wind farm output from 0 to 100%,the compensation effects of the above devices to the voltage stability is obtained.
