Effect of irrigation and fertilization mode on water usage and photosynthesis characteristics of watermelon in greenhouse

The field experiment is used to analyze the effect of irrigation and fertilization mode on the water use,photosynthesis characteristic and yield of watermelon in greenhouse.The results show that a higher yield with a water use of 50% has been got in water saving irrigation mode W3;it can also increase the sugar content of watermelon.Photosynthesis rate,stomatal conductance and transpiration can be enhanced by controlling the soil water content properly.And the suitable reduction of nitrogen fertilizer can obviously increase the sugar content of watermelon.
