The effect of anti-inflammatory cytokine on apoptosis of T lymphocytes in patients with systemic inflammatory response syndrome

Objective To investigate the effect of anti inflammatory cytokine on apoptosis of T lymphocytes in patients with systemic inflammatory response syndrome(SIRS).Methods 42 patients with SIRS were regarded as patient group and 3ml blood drawn from cubital vein with empty stomach in the early morning of 1,2 and 4 days after hospitalization,and transforming growth factor β(TGF β),interleukin 10(IL 10),CD3 +T lymphocytes and CD95 +T lymphocytes were measured and healthy objects were used as control group.Results TGF β and IL 10 of patient group increased continuously on the first day after hospitalization and was significantly different from that of control group( P 0 01).CD3 +T lymphocytes and CD95 +T lymphocytes of patient group decreased on the first day after hospitalization and remained low on the second day and was significantly different from that of control group ( P 0 05, P 0 01).TGF β was signficantly related to CD3 +T lymphocytes and CD95 +T lymphocytes( r =-0 715,0 672).IL 10 was significantly related to CD3 +T lymphocytes and CD95 +T lymphocytes( r =-0 597,-0 604). Conclusion Anti inflammatory cytokine induced the apoptosis of T lymphocytes,decreased its total quantity and disturbed its immune function.So suppressing the anti inflammatory cytokine appropriately and reaching the balance of inflammatory cytokine and anti inflammatory cytokine may be benificial in the control of SIRS. [
