Speckle Noise Suppressing Based on a New Nonlinear Weighted Averaging Multidirectional Morphological Filtering Algorithm

In this paper, a new nonlinear weighted average multidirectional morphological filtering algorithm is proposed to suppress speckle noise. Processing to the images from CO_2 coherent laser radar shows the algorithm can not only preserve the geometrical features of images but also effectively suppress speckle noise in images.
