The surface wettability of ceramic membrane in treatment of produced water

Ceramic membrane fouling is the critical problem that restricts the industrial applications of ceramic membrane.The surface wettability of membrane reflects the degree of contamination on the membrane.In this paper,we have analyzed the changes of water wetting angle and water wetting angle on the surface of the ceramic membrane treating oilfield wastewater over time.The degree of contamination in membrane core can inferred by the colour,the water wetting angle on the membrane surface which is lightly polluted is 70.4°,while the water wetting angle on the heavily polluted membrane surface is 105.9°,which hydrophilicity transformed into lipophilicity,and the water penetration deteriorated.After burning treatment,the membrane surface is generally hydrophilic,and the water permeation rate has been increased compared to the priors.Averagely,the ceramic membrane organic pollutants make up 0.78% of the membrane weight after burning treatment,and inorganic scale accounts for0.28% of the membrane weight after pickling,in which the calcium and iron salts are in the majority.Thermal gravimetric analysis has proved that organic pollutants on the membrane surface heavily polluted by more than 1.5%,compared with the membrane surface lightly polluted.
