Relationship between Teacher's Efficacy and Social Support.

Objective To study the relationship between Teacher's efficacy and social support.Methods 426 middle school teachers were tested by teacher's efficacy and social support scale.Results There is a great positive correlation between personal teaching efficacy and social support,Social support in some way had contribution to the personal teaching efficacy.And there is negative correlation between general teaching efficacy and "other support"of social support.The differences of teachers' characteristics such as years of teaching and professional job title affect the personal teaching efficacy very little.Conclusion Social support was differently correlated with the dimensions of Teacher's efficacy.To improve social support can help to improve teachers' personal teaching efficacy.The personal teaching efficacy may be one of the factors that social support affects teachers' psychological health.
