Effect on Mental Therapy in the Patients with Type 2 Diabetes

Objective To explore the mental therapy function in the p atients with type 2 diabetes.Mental therapy was applied to treat the patients with type 2 di abetes. The patients were had correct cognition to diabetes, arranged rationally work and life, and then the development of diabetes was controlled effectively. Methods All patients with type 2 diabetes which were selected from the third p eople's hospital of Yongzhou city in May, 2001 to Oct. 2004, hadn't complication and accorded with the diagnosis standard of WHO about diabetes. The patients we re random divided into experiment group and control group. Based on the same med icines therapies, the experiment group was treated with purposeful, planed, step ped psychology therapy. The SDS, SAS and SCL-90 were applied to measure the two -group patients and collect correlative data. Results The bloo d sugar, saccharified hemoglobin, blood fat, micro protein in urine, uric acid i n serum, SDS, SAS and SCL-90 were more stable and their recoverment were quicker in experiment group than in controls. The complication was decreased. C onclusion Mental therapy was beneficial to treat type 2 diabetes. Exist ence time could be prolonged and life quality could be developed when mental therapy was applied to treat the patients with type 2 diabetes. Mental therapy had important functi on in treatment, h ealth education and prevention of diabetes, and was effective therapy method of type 2 diabetes.
