The Ego-identity Status of Medical Students

Objective To investigate and analyze the characteristics of medical students' ego-identity status.Methods A total of 330 students in Guangzhou medical university were randomly selected and assessed with the Chinese college students' ego-identity status scale.Results ①88.6 percent of medical students were in the moratorium status;②There was significant difference of the ego-identity status between medical students and common undergraduate(χ2=960.838,P0.001);③Demography had low influences on ACH(R2=0.035,P=0.05)and FOR(χ2=960.838,P0.001);④There was significant difference of INACH between male and female students(t=22.779,P0.05);⑤There was significant difference of IDFOR between different grades(F=4.876,5.060,P=0.01).Conclusion Most of medical students are in the moratorium status,they are better than common college students.
