Relationship among Optimistic Personality,Professional Commitment and Academic Achievement of Vocational Students

Objective To explore the influence of optimistic personality and professional commitment on academic achievement of vocational students. Methods A total of 563 vocational college students were investigated with optimistic personality questionnaire and professional commitment questionnaire. Results ①Bivariate correlation suggested that optimistic personality,professional commitment and academic achievement were correlated significantly with each other( r =-0. 092 ~ 0. 345,P 0. 05). ②Regression analysis suggested professional commitment was a mediator factor between optimistic personality and academic achievement( t = 2. 041 ~ 8. 710,P 0. 05; t= 0. 737,P 0. 05). Conclusion Professional commitment is a mediator variable between optimistic personality and academic achievement.
