Valence Electron Structure and Structure Heredity of Aluminium-Silicon Alloy Melt

The valence electron structure of a binary Al-Si alloy has been analysed according to the Empirical Electron Theory of Solids and Molecules, and it has been further deduced that the Si-Si bond is the strongest in the Al-Si melt, and therefore, there exists the short range ordered distribution of silicon atoms. A structural model of the binary Al-Si alloy melt has been established based on the theory of melt microheterogeneity.
