Studies on Base catalyzed Transmethylesterification Conditions of Mycelial Fatty Acids

The present paper covers a base catalysed transmethylesterification method of mycelial fatty acids. Main conditions affecting the relative methylesterification yields of the individual fatty acids were studied. The results show that the concentration of KOH, 0 6 mol/L was suitable for the reaction, the relative methylesterification yield reached the maximum at ambient temperature (20~30 ℃) with in being incubated for about 15 min.
