The Experimental Research of Soil Water Transport under Multiple Point Drip Irrigation in Xinjiang Cotton Field

The experimental of soil water transport under multiple point drip irrigation was carried out in Xinjiang cotton field.The research indicated that saturated zone radius of surface reached the maximum 20-25 cm at 4h、3h after drip irrigation when the drip pipe of 1.2 L/h、1.38 L/h and 2.0 L/h、3.0L/h were used respectively.The radial and vertical wetting front were estimated by power function and linear function respectively,and the relationship between both vertical wetting fronts and irrigation amount could be described by power function.The single drip irrigation time should not be less than 8h,and the 1.2-2.0L/h dripper flow range of drip pipe should be selected preferentially when the cotton drip irrigation system was designed and operated,especially the water was added in cotton seedling.That was significative to improve seed germination rate and reduce or avoid deep seepage effectively.
