The Design of Flowmeters Data Acquisition System Based on GPRS

The hardware and software design of GPRS communication technology applied to flowmeters data acquisition is introduced in this paper.The entire system structure and the application of dynamic domain name and port mapping are discussed.According to the features of flowmeter communication interface and GPRS communication technology,a new idea is put forward which differs from general data acquisition way by collecting data once a meter and takes the strategy for data acquisition from the same GPRS terminal equipment that Data Center Server sends instruction or GPRS terminal equipment returns the meters data by making up many frames as one big packet.A self defining special protocol system based on existing ones is developed,which greatly increases the communication efficiency and robust in practice.A good means can be found to allow various flowmeters or other meters with different communication instruction systems to access one data acquisition system;Therefore,the communication system has good versatility.
