STUDIES OF THE CONTROL TECHNIQUE OF WHITESTRIPED LONGICORN BEETLE IN COMMON OLIVE

Whitestriped longicorn beetle (Batocera horsfield) appears to be a very destructive wood-boring insect in Common olive (Olea europaea) plantations of Han-shong Region. Shaanxi Province. Because of their various feeding habits and quick spread beetles can seriously destroy many other tree species in the area. In the paper, the distribution, living habits and spreading behavior of the beetle are studied, and control techniques discussed. Finally, an economical and effective control method is presented.
