Comparison of Wave - Passage Effect on Large - Span Connective Structures under Different Seismic Waves

Large-span connective structure is a new type of structure in recent twenty years,which is complexity of stress.Based on a high-rise large-span connective structure,long period seismic waves and normal seismic waves were chosen from the earthquake records as the input on a three-dimensional finite element model which was created with ANSYS software.And then,structures under Large Mass Method was used to analyze and make relative comparison of wave-passage effect on large-span connective structures under different types of seismic waves.The result shows that axial forces of the steel truss bars are obviously higher under long period seismic waves than normal seismic waves.Besides,the wave-passage effects of longitudinal bars are especially prominent while the wave-passage effects of diagonal bracings are quite weak under lateral excitations.
