Quantitative analysis of hemoglobin concentration by Raman spectra

In the present study,Raman spectra quantitative analysis was used to examine hemoglobin concentration in biological samples.By considering the feasibility and the accuracy of the four characteristic bands,1 356 cm-1,1 471 cm-1,1 546 cm-1 and 1 608 cm-1 assigned to hemoglobin,we proposed that the use of ν4 band such as 1 356 cm-1 for deoxyhemoglobin or oxyhemoglobin was better than others.The mean relative error of this method was 0.058 7,which indicates its feasibility for quick,precise and non-invasive quantitative determination of hemoglobin concentrations in biological simples.Taken together,our study expands the application potential of Raman spectra.
