3D Numerical Simulation of the Air Flow Among the Multi-louvered Fins

A 3D numerical simulation for the air flow and heat transfer among louvered fins was derived,and the numerical results were compared with the experimental data from literatures.Numerical results show the average error of j and f is 4.7% and 10.5%,in the range of Re=0~1500.In addition,the effects of louver angle and the exchange zone length on the pressure drop and the heat transfer coefficient are studied for louvered fin optimization design.The results show that the louvered angle has distinct effect on the f factor.
