EFECTS OF ALVEOLAR MACROPHAGE CULTURE SUPERNATANT ON MOUSE ERYTHROPOIESIS

Quan Hongxun, Zhang Zhixun, Wang Wei,Zou Dan, Hu Qunyuan, Ma Xingfeng, Lu Xiuzeng(Henan Medical College for Health Staff, Zhengzhou, 450003)
Using cell culture of hemopoietic progenitors, the authors studied the effects of alveolar macrophage supernatant on the growth of BFU-E and CFU-E in mice. The results indicated that the supernatant showed positive and negative regulation on the growth of BFU-E and CFU-E, that is , low concentration supernatant presented promotion and high concentration supernatant presented inhibition. The results demonstrated that the supernatant of alveolar macrophage probably contained Epo-like and BPA-like factors, that the change of the concentration of these factors regulated the proliferation of BFU-E and CFU-E, and that lipopolysacrides promoted alveolar macrophage to secrete these bioactive substances.
