The evaluation of percutaneous microwave coagulation in residue of hepatic cancer after transarterial chemoembolization

Objective To assess the efficacy of percutaneous microwave coagulation in residue of hepatic cancer after transarterial chemoembolization. Methods 68 patients with the residue of hepatic cancer after TACE were treated with percutaneous microwave coagulation therapy under CT guidance. Resultsi68 patients were treated with percutaneous microwave coagulation therapy for 78 times,and then were followed for 3-15 months.Complete tumor necrosis was seen in 63 patients(92.65%).During the follow-up period ,all of the patients were survival,and no obvious side-effect and complications were observed in all these patients.Conclusion percutaneous microwave coagulation therapy is a safe,effective method in combined therapy of patients with hepatic cancer.
