The Algorithm of Extracting Image Feature Parameters of the Boiler Flame

This paper studies on the algorithm of extracting feature parameters from boiler flame images of foursquare tangential combustion boilers.The common feature parameters include the brightness area,high temperature area rate,centroidal offset and circularity etc.of the flame images.The paper offers software algorithms for batch extracting feature parameters of flame images,and presents an algorithm of odd step summation and even step perimeter calculation according to the problems of perimeter not easily extracted in circularity calculations.The algorithm precisely calculates the contour perimeter and circularity of flame images in the high temperature area.The precise extraction of the feature parameters is in favor of the precise diagnosis of the combustion status.
