Geological characteristics and ore-controlling factors of the Xizidong copper polymetallic deposit in Ruichang City of Jiangxi Province

The Xizidong copper polymetallic deposit in Ruichang of Jiangxi Province is hosted in Yanshanian granodiorite porphyry and the adjacent contact zone,with host rocks being granodiorite porphyry and skarn,and is a typical magmatic hydrothermal deposit.Detailed analysis of the geological characteristics shows that the orebodies are mainly controlled by granodiorite porphyry,the lithological difference interface between the Ordovician and Silurian strata,and the NE-trending strike slip faults. The orebodies occur in the fracture zone formed due to fault slip of the interface layers,and the ore-bearing rocks include granodiorite and skarn. Integrated analysis shows that this deposit shows a comprehensive control by stratigraphic-lithological,structural and magmatic factors,and each factor plays a different role at different stages of deposit formation.
