The Evolution of Paleonotologic and Paleogeographic Faces in Triassic Period in the Lower Yangtze Valley and its Essential Cause

Qian Maiping et al(Nanjing Institute of Geology and Mineral Resources, Nanjing, 210016)  
The research on the paleonotologic and sedimentary faces in the Triassic System in the Lower Yangtze Valley, shows the evolution changes from an epicontinental sea, abundant in tropic marine organisms suck as ammonites, bivalves, gastropods, foraminifers, conodonts, asteoichthyes, ichthyosaurs and algae et al, to a high evaporative tidal flat, lagoons'or Sabkha, rich in stromatolital biostromes/bioherms built by salt-resistand algae et al, to a seaskord estury in lower delta plain plentiful or tropic-subtropic hemi-salt water bivalves et al, to rivers, lakes and marshlands in delta plain full of subtropic freshwater organisme, e.g. bivalves, ostracodes and plants et al. It suggests that the Yangtze Block, on the other hand, have moved from south by the Equator over climatic tapes to north by the Tropic of Cancer during Triassic Period.
