Design and implementation on port production data warehouse

With the decision requirements of port enterprises, the port cargo transport business is analyzed. The conceptual model of port production business is constructed. The architecture of port production data warehouse is confirmed. The analysis subjects are defined according to the conceptual model and final users’ requirements. Meanwhile, a series of fact tables and dimension tables are designed in detail according to port transport volume subject. The star logical model is achieved which gives birth to corresponding physical model and enlightens solution to the realization problem. The tools and platform chosen in the process of design and implementation are explained. Finally, the cargo transport volume of different regions is presented using the port production data warehouse.
