A Study of Evaluation Methods on Performance of the Multi-Source Remote Sensing Image Fusion

In multi-source remote sensing image fusion,different fusing methods can get different fusing results.Namely,it can get different fusion images.How to evaluate the fusion effect is a very important part in the image fusion.In this paper,various evaluation guide lines have been studied methodically on the remote sensing image fusion.We analyze and summarize some existent evaluation guide lines,at the same time some new guide lines are brought forward.In this paper,the methods of evaluating the effect of remote sensing image fusion are classified according to condition and purpose,respectively.Finally,we verify the evaluation methods by experimental results.
