Method to measure void fraction of gas-liquid two-phase flow based on imaged processing

An online system is developed to measure void fraction of gas-liquid two-phase flow based on machine visional technology.The linear expressions of the capillary tube and bubble's left and right boundaries are obtained based on least square approximation.The upper and lower boundary of the bubble is determined according to the principle of first-order derivative.Void fraction of gas-liquid two-phase flow is measured.Experimental results show that the system has good reproducibility and high accuracy.
