Advances in Study on Responses of Crops to Water Stress and Water Use Efficiency

Researches on responses of crops to water stress and water use efficiency are both important aspects for Water-Saving agriculture.This paper presents a review of the studies on responses of crops morphology and physiological chemistry under water stress,introduces the connotation and calculating methods of crop water use efficiency,and discusses the approach of improving WUE.Based on the above work,problems still existing in the research and application of the domain in China are presented.
