Monitoring and Dispatching of Public Traffic Vehicles with GPS

The existent problems of public traffic vehicles (PTV) dispatching are analyzed, this paper proposes dispatching and monitoring strategy for PTV. G lobal position system, communication computer technologies and so on are applie d to structuring the system of monitoring and management for the vehicles on the basis of the strategy, so as to solve the shortcoming of static dispatching for PTV effectively. The experimental results demonstrate that implementing dynamic dispatching strategy of PTV with GPS could improve the performance and effect o f dynamic dispatching for PTV, also operation efficiency and service quality wou ld be enchanted. The feasible technology support will be provided for intellige nt dispatching of urban PTV.
