3-D half-analytical dynamic infinite element

In this paper, a new 3\|D dynamic infinite element is presented. Since the wave displacement field of the present element is defined on the infinite edge instead of on the whole element as the conventional infinite element, it is very convenient to use this element to simulate the R\|wave, P\|wave, SH\|wave and SV\|wave simultaneously, and to satisfy the displacement continuity along the common boundary of neighbouring infinite elements in the case of dimulating multiple material layers. The transfer of different media is completed by the definition of parameters of the infinite edge, not by the modification of the node coordinate as the convertionalinfinite element. It is more economical to use this element to model the wave field of the unbounded domain.
