Structural dynamics optimum design with given frequencies and position of mode shape node lines

In this paper,a new structural dynamics design method is developed to meet the require-ment of natural frequencies and the position of mode shape nodal lines,First,the relation be-tween the variation of the position of mode shape nodal lines and independent design parame-ters is determined,and then the design results are obtained by optimization method undersome constraints,In addition a numerical method is given for calculating the sensitivity ofeigensolution in modal space. Practical application shows that the method can effectivelysolve the problems in the dynamics design of practical engineering structures with natutalfrequencies and mode shape nodal lines etc.
