Realization of Collaborative Design and Simulation Platform for Multidiscipline Virtual Prototyping

:After the analysis of the function framework of collaborative product development platform and the various collaboration modes, the distributed computing model of collaborative design and simulation platform for multidiscipline virtual prototyping is proposed. Moreover, the realization technologies on collaborative development's running management, collaborative development's resources management, and distributed data's collaborative and interactive management are studied in detail. A prototyping system, based on the modelling and simulation tools of COM/DCOM, the database design and CORBA application implementation technology, is developed. The system can support the information integration among the distributed and heterogeneous modeling and simulation tools of different application under Internet environment, and allow the collaborative design and simulation of complex product's virtual prototyping.
