STUDY ON THE APPROACH FOR GENERATION AND EVALUATION OF ASSEMBLY SEQUENCES FOR ASSEMBLY PROCESS PLANNING

Assembly sequence generation is a key link of the chain of CAAPP(Computer Aided Assembly Process Planning). In this paper, a feature-based assembly model is proposed, firstly. Then, the method of automatic generating assembly sequences is present- ed, which is based on the theory of cut-sets. According to the evaluating criteria, the optimal assembly can be found by use of AO. search algorithm, meanwhile, the complexity of space and time is reduced.
